Since I can remember, my father, as an only child, took on all the responsibilities of our large family with diligence and hard work deeply ingrained in me. I began learning tea production in middle and high school, studied horticulture in college, and after graduating, decided to return home as a young farmer. To explore new opportunities and continue the legacy of the tea factory named “Jinglong,” I founded the Jinglong Coffee Estate and embarked on my coffee journey.

In 2017, during my junior year of college, I planted the first batch of coffee at an altitude of 1,400 meters, taking on the challenge of expensive Geisha seedlings. However, the farm was often the first to be hit by typhoons and frost, which slowed growth considerably. Still, this unique location produces coffee with exceptional quality and flavor. The estate also planted SL34 varieties thereafter.

With my background in horticulture, I applied my knowledge to cultivation and field management, starting with small batches to learn processing techniques. The first harvest in 2021 won the “Geisha Gold Award” at the Alishan Elite Coffee Exchange Competition. In the following year, the estate won multiple awards at the Alishan Elite Coffee Exchange, including the “National Champion” at the ZhuMeiyuan Taiwan Specialty Coffee Awards. Fully dedicated to Taiwan’s specialty coffee scene, the estate currently focuses mainly on Geisha and SL34 varieties.
