Growing up in a tea plantation, the estate owner Chen He-De originally planned to work elsewhere after military service. However, out of filial piety, he returned home to care for his sick father and took over managing his father’s tea farm, familiar with the intricate tea-making processes since childhood.

Driven by a strong passion and interest in coffee, he gradually began planting coffee alongside the tea fields. With an experimental spirit and continuous trial of different methods, combined with the advantage of the high-altitude geography, he was able to produce high-quality coffee. His coffee earned the reputation of “the strongest SL34 on earth” and won second place at the 2021 PCA Treasured Taiwan Specialty Coffee International Competition.
