With 42 years of experience in tea making, the couple, interested in coffee, began planting coffee on a family plot in 2017. Like model students, they followed the guidance of their seniors step by step and attended coffee-related courses everywhere. At their first participation in the 2021 Alishan Coffee Estate Elite Exchange Competition, they won the top prize for honey-processed coffee and sold 5 kilograms at an impressive price of NT$430,000 during the matching event.

A visit to Baixiang’s coffee farm reveals that their success is no accident. The coffee trees are neatly arranged with disciplined field management. They humbly seek advice from experienced growers on processing techniques and diligently study their craft. Their excellent quality has made them consistent winners in competitions. Moving forward, the couple continues to pursue their goal of producing even better Alishan coffee.
